SHT-04How it connects

Doors have rules. We draw them in.

Fire alarm is outside our license. Florida's Class II covers all types of alarm systems other than fire. Where locks release on a fire alarm signal, we coordinate the interface with your licensed fire alarm contractor and put it on the drawing.

In schools, Florida requires classrooms and other instructional spaces to be locked to prevent ingress when occupied by students. How we design for it.

“The biggest thing is having a technology integrator that understands we’re putting a piece of technology in here because we have a problem”

Anthony Pluretti, Widener University · Security Sales & Integration, 2022

Industry voices quoted from published interviews. They describe what buyers ask of integrators; they are not reviews of Smartech.

SHT-05Questions

Asked before the first call.

Can you keep our existing cards?

We test what you have during the survey. Where the credential format is supported we keep it; where it is not, the scope says so and prices the change.

Who updates access when staff change?

Your administrators, after training. Smartech also offers remote credential management.

Do you install the door hardware?

We coordinate it either way. Whether the locks come from your hardware supplier, your GC or us is written in the scope, door by door.

SHT-09Project review

Bring your drawings. Leave with a plan.

A free project review: we look at your sites, your current system and your timeline, then tell you what we would design, phase and lock in writing. We reply within 24 business hours.
