SHT-04In every proposal

What purchasing gets from us.

  • G-01
    License on every proposal
Florida requires it on each offer, proposal and advertisement. Ours: EG13000538.
  • G-02
    Manufacturer on every line
The device schedule names maker and model, so equipment can be checked against Section 889.
  • G-03
    Scope with exclusions
What is included, what is not, and the assumptions, in writing.
  • G-04
    Phasing by facility
A schedule your facilities team can coordinate around operations.
  • G-05
    Public references
Agency documents you can open, not anonymous logos.
  • G-06
    Closeout records
As-builts, device lists and programming records for your files.

SHT-05Section 889

Covered equipment, without the slogan.

FAR 52.204-25 covers video surveillance and telecommunications equipment produced by Hytera, Hikvision or Dahua, among others, for certain uses. The rule prohibits and asks for a reasonable inquiry; it does not create a seal.

So we do not stamp a badge on our proposals. Smartech can specify NDAA-compliant cameras, access control hardware, and supporting technology when required by procurement or project standards, and the device schedule names every manufacturer so your team can check it line by line.

Section 889, explained for buyers

What the clause covers, what a reasonable inquiry looks like, and what to ask an integrator.

SHT-06Questions

What purchasing offices ask.

Bidding is contracting in Florida. Why does that matter?

Florida law says the attempted sale of contracting services, and the negotiation or bid for a contract on those services, also constitutes contracting. A bidder for alarm system work should hold the license when it bids, not after it wins. Ours is on every proposal.

Florida Statutes 489.505

Can you provide references?

The public records on this page are references you can open yourself. Reference contacts are shared directly with your purchasing office, with each client's permission.

Where is the full procurement file?

On the public sector page, with the capability statement you can print or download.

Do you install fire alarm systems?

No. Our Florida Class II license covers all types of alarm systems other than fire. Where security and fire alarm meet, such as door release, we coordinate with your licensed fire alarm contractor.
