School security, drawn to the statute.

Smartech is on district video surveillance contracts in Palm Beach and Miami-Dade. We design entries, classroom doors, cameras and intercoms around what section 1006.07 asks of every Florida school.

SHT-02On a campus

What we design on a school campus.

Each item maps to a requirement or a risk your safety team already tracks.

  • E-01
    Single point of entry
Vestibule, video intercom, card reader and a visitor path that ends at the office.
  • E-02
    Classroom doors
Hardware and access control so instructional spaces can be locked to prevent ingress when occupied.
  • E-03
    Perimeter and drop-off
Fence lines, gates, bus loops and parking covered on purpose.
  • E-04
    Interior coverage
Corridors, stairwells, cafeterias and media centers.
  • E-05
    Panic alert coordination
Camera views and door hardware planned alongside the district's mobile panic alert platform.
  • E-06
    Assessment-ready records
Drawings and device schedules your team can reference in the annual FSSAT.

SHT-04How we phase

Design to the statute, phase to the budget.

Florida's statute is specific. Classrooms and other instructional spaces must be locked to prevent ingress when occupied by students. The mobile panic alert system must integrate with local 911 infrastructure. Every school completes its security assessment by October 1.

We draw each device against the requirement it serves, so a district can phase the work across budget years and still explain every line: this reader locks a classroom, this camera covers the only unlocked entry, this intercom puts a visitor in front of the office before the second door.

SHT-06Questions

What districts ask first.

Are you on our district's contract?

Smartech is an awarded vendor on the School District of Palm Beach County's 24C-51K video surveillance contract (through August 2029) and is recommended for award on Miami-Dade County Public Schools' ITB-25-031-MF. For other districts, your purchasing office decides which vehicles apply; we will give them what they need to check.

Can the work happen while school is in session?

The disruptive parts are scheduled for after hours, weekends or breaks, as written in the phasing plan you approve.

Can you help us prioritize what to fund first?

Yes. The project review ranks each device by the requirement or risk it addresses, so the first phase covers what matters most.

Do you install fire alarm systems?

No. Our Florida Class II license covers all types of alarm systems other than fire. Where security and fire alarm meet, such as door release, we coordinate with your licensed fire alarm contractor.
