7 questions to ask first.

Who answers, how fast they come, how they install, what you sign and under which license: what to ask any security company.

Choosing who watches your home isn’t choosing a gadget: it’s choosing who you call when something happens. These seven questions work for any company, big or small.

1. Who answers when I call?

A person with a name, or a menu? Ask how service visits are requested and who schedules them.

The system is monitored 24/7 as any other company, but the personal level of communication far surpasses any security based company I've dealt with.

2. If it fails, how fast?

Ask for an actual time, not “as soon as possible.”

Roberto was at my property in less than an hour.

3. How does the install look?

Ask where the cables run and who cleans up afterwards. You’ll see it on every wall of your home.

Work is very neat, no exposed wire.

4. What exactly am I signing?

Agreement length, one-time fee, monthly price and cancellation terms, in writing. At Inhoome, monitoring plans come with a 36-month agreement and a one-time fee of $99, $179 or $249 depending on the plan.

5. What’s your license number?

In Florida, contractors must state their license number in every offer or ad. Ask for it and check it in the DBPR registry. Inhoome Inc’s: EG13000963 · EC13015198.

6. Will you show me how?

A system you don’t know how to use is a system you’ll end up switching off. Ask them to show you how to arm it, disarm it and check alerts from your phone.

7. What do customers say?

Read full reviews, not loose lines. Inhoome’s are on Google, with names and dates.

If a friend sent you their link, you can ask for a quote on your page and choose how we reach you. With the link, your first month of monitoring is free when you activate a plan.
